Pete Chronis is a cybersecurity leader and startup mentor with over 20 years of experience shaping security strategy and driving innovation across the enterprise. He is passionate about helping founders and CISOs succeed by bridging enterprise challenges and introducing innovation to drive business value, protect data and manage risk.
For nearly a decade, Pete has mentored Cyberstarts founders as they developed products, refined go-to-market execution, and scaled breakthrough cybersecurity technologies. He currently serves on the board of directors at Cyera, one of the fastest-growing data security companies in the world.
Previously, Pete held CISO roles at Paramount, WarnerMedia, Turner Broadcasting, and EarthLink. In these positions, he led large-scale security transformations, defended against more than one trillion cyberattacks, prevented over $300 million in fraud, and safeguarded hundreds of millions of customers and employees globally.
Pete holds a Master’s Degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta and is the author of The Cyber Conundrum (2018), Hidden Lessons from History (2020), and co-author of Modern DSPM for Dummies (2024). A frequent keynote speaker on cybersecurity, AI risk, and data security, Pete is recognized as a trusted voice in the global security community.
