“The strongest cybersecurity companies are built alongside the people who live with risk every day. Creating real impact means listening deeply to CISOs, building long-term relationships, and helping founders develop solutions that earn credibility and trust over time.”

Shirley Hermann is a creative marketing leader with deep experience building brands, ecosystems, and trusted relationships across the global technology industry.

She currently serves as Vice President at Cyberstarts, where she leads the fund’s CISO Network and oversees the structured engagement between founders and global CISOs. In this role, Shirley helps early-stage cybersecurity companies build credibility, establish trust with enterprise security leaders, and form meaningful relationships at a critical stage of their growth.

Prior to Cyberstarts, Shirley spent eight years at the Microsoft Israel R&D Center in senior leadership roles. As Director of Marketing, she led employer branding, strategic marketing, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and large-scale programs at the intersection of technology, talent, and impact. Her work played a central role in positioning Microsoft Israel as the #1 Best Employer in High-Tech in Israel for five consecutive years. She was awarded the Israeli Marketing Association’s Marketer Award, and her campaigns became benchmarks across Israel’s technology and cybersecurity ecosystem, generating millions of impressions and influencing dozens of organizations.

Earlier in her career, Shirley joined Wix, where she led some of the company’s largest and most high-profile global marketing initiatives. Among them was Wix’s 2017 Super Bowl campaign, starring Jason Statham and Gal Gadot - a defining moment that helped establish Wix as a global consumer technology brand. Prior to Wix, Shirley worked at Adallom, a cloud security startup founded by Assaf Rappaport, where she served as Head of Operations. Following Adallom’s acquisition by Microsoft, she became part of the global enterprise security landscape, laying the foundation for her long-term leadership within the technology sector.

Shirley began her career in the international film industry, spending eight years as a film producer. Her final project, The Congress, directed by Golden Globe–winning filmmaker Ari Folman, was a 12-country co-production that premiered as the opening film of the Cannes Film Festival. This experience shaped her ability to tell complex stories, lead cross-border teams, and operate at scale - skills she has carried throughout her technology career.

Shirley lives in Tel Aviv with her family and beloved dog.
